Team Leader Charlie Chang worked his way from sushi restaurant intern to sushi chef. Shortly after, Charlie stepped away from the kitchen to join the United States Marine Corps. During his enlistment, he went on two tours of deployment which strongly shaped his outlook on life. After his service in the Marines, he began a career in marketing and sales. This is where his devotion to exceptional customer service stems from. With his professional experience, Charlie returned to the culinary industry as a restaurateur where he now feeds his true passion: being a die-hard foodie.
Executive Chef Jason Liao brings over a decade of sushi chef experience to the rising poke scene. Liao has deep roots in Austin and Houston, where he has garnered a myriad of accolades and awards for his work. Liao has been featured in Houstonia Magazine’s Top 38 Best New Restaurants, Houston Press Top 25 Best New Restaurants, and garnered the title #1 Reason to visit Sugar Land on Zagat amongst features in other major publications. In his new role as “Executive Pokeologist,” Liao is constantly curating new poke bowls for guests to enjoy.
